Dillon Single Family Homes
Homes in Dillon are in three main neighborhoods; Dillon Valley, Summit Cove and in Dillon New Town. Dillon Valley is the neighborhood that you see on your left as you come down I-70 from the tunnel. Closest to the highway are condos, but the single family homes sit further back and also climb up the hillside going south. At the eastern end of the Valley is Straight Creek Ponds.
Summit Cove is a very popular local’s neighborhood that has been there for years, but more recently, Whispering Pines and Soda Creek have built larger, new homes that are very close to the Dillon elementar school. Meadow Wood is nearby, and all the subdivisions back to National Forest with lots of hiking trails and plenty of open space. On the other side of Summit Cove is Keywest Farms and Snowberry. This neighborhood is just a couple of miles from Keystone ski area. Summerwood is a little closer to the town of Dillon and is an upscale area of very nice homes and duplexes with its own clubhouse and tennis courts. The homes on the Ridge at Summerwood have fabulous views and some of them sell for well over $1-2M.
The new town of Dillon has many condos edging Lake Dillon, but between the town and the dam, and all around the town itself, are single family homes. Some have been there since the lake was built and others are new. Some have great lake views and most have nice mountain views. Overall, Dillon is an affordable area in which to buy a home, with Summerwood being the exception rather than the rule.
