Single Family Homes in Keystone
Most of the homes in Keystone are larger, more expensive homes, either near the ski resort or near one of the golf courses. There is an older neighborhood with a great location just across the road from the ski area named Loveland Pass Village, but if you want a Keystone single family home, expect to fork over some dough!
The golf course neighborhoods consist of Keystone Ranch and Elk Crossing (at the River Course). Elk Crossing is the newer of the two, but Keystone Ranch has its own wonderful restaurant (open to the public), and the homesites feel very secluded and private. Elk Crossing has smaller lots, some being on the river, and is closer in. East of the ski resort, on Montezuma Rd, is a small subdivision named North Fork. It has some nice homes, and there are more further down Montezuma Rd, along the Snake River. Keep going and you end up in the old town of Montezuma. It is not a ghost town, as people still live there, but it is a world unto itself, with many characters and oddities.
More Keystone homes are close to Soda Ridge Rd and along the Snake River as you are go west from the ski area toward the stables, Keystone Science School and Keystone Ranch. Saw Whiskers and Last Chance are some of the subdivisions. Keystone homes tend to be used as rentals a good part of the time, with some owner occupied and others used only as second homes. Hot tubs are a popular amenity and most of the homes have good access to the bike paths and hiking trails that are all over Summit County.
